OFSTED 2024: GOOD in all areas! “There is a really strong, inclusive culture in this school that promotes equality for all, and that is really modelled through all staff and through the leadership, because all children are welcome here and the school does everything they can to care, nurture and educate.” (OFSTED 24)

Religious Education

Religious Education

RE teaching helps children to understand the place of religious faith in modern life and the importance of developing their own beliefs. It is about creating an awareness within the child of the relevance of faith in their own lives and in the lives of others.
Withdrawal from Religious Education
Parents have the legal right to withdraw their child, either wholly or in part, from Religious Education. We recognise and respect this right and ask that any parent wishing to do so contacts the school office in the first instance to discuss their request. Alternative arrangements will be made for pupils who are withdrawn from RE, and the school will ensure they are appropriately supervised during these sessions. Parents are not required to give a reason for requesting withdrawal.
