PE and Sport Premium – 2025–2026
The PE and Sport Premium is government funding provided to support schools in improving the quality of physical education, physical activity and sport for all pupils.
At Cadmore End, Sport Premium funding for the 2025–2026 academic year is being used strategically to increase pupils’ engagement in regular physical activity, develop physical skills and promote healthy, active lifestyles. Our provision is inclusive and designed to support all pupils, including those who may be less active or who find traditional competitive sport more challenging.
A significant proportion of the funding is allocated to weekly Forest School sessions for all year groups throughout the year. These sessions are carefully planned to provide sustained physical activity and to develop pupils’ strength, balance, coordination and confidence through activities such as climbing, balancing, lifting and outdoor physical challenges. Forest School complements our PE curriculum and provides an alternative and engaging pathway into physical activity.
In addition, funding is being used to develop our outdoor physical activity provision through the installation of a trim trail and the purchase of high-quality physical activity and play equipment. These resources increase opportunities for pupils to be active throughout the school day, supporting positive behaviour, wellbeing and readiness to learn.
The impact of Sport Premium funding is monitored by school leaders through observation, pupil voice and participation levels to ensure that it continues to have a meaningful and sustainable impact on pupils’ physical development and wellbeing.
