Computing

Computing

At Cadmore End, children learn how to use technology confidently, creatively and safely. They develop an understanding of how computers and digital systems work, learn to create and debug simple programs, and use a range of digital tools to find information and communicate their ideas.

Computing is planned across a two-year cycle for our mixed-year classes. We use the Twinkl scheme to support teaching and adapt activities to meet children’s needs. Knowledge and skills are revisited and developed as children move through the school.

Online safety is taught throughout the curriculum. Children learn to use technology responsibly, recognise when something online makes them uncomfortable and know how to ask a trusted adult for help. Families can find practical advice on our Online Safety page.
