Funding and Fees

Funding and Fees
For a maximum of 38 weeks a year, all 3&4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours of Funded Entitlement childcare per week during the academic term, from the start of the term after their 3rd birthday.

The term cut-off dates are fixed as 31st March, 31st August and 31st December. This comes to a total of 570 hours across the year (15 hours x 38 weeks) – see the table below.

31st March

Summer Term

Spring Term

This would mean, therefore, that a child who turns 3 on the 1st April will not be eligible to take up their Funded Entitlement place until September even if the academic term starts on 3rd April.

A 3 year old remains eligible for the funding for up to two academic years before they reach compulsory school age or until they are admitted to a reception class of a school, whichever comes first. Compulsory school age is the term after their fifth birthday.

Because these 15 hours are available to all 3&4 year olds, they are called the “Universal Funded Entitlement”.

If you do not meet the criteria for Extended hours funding, we can accept payment for additional hours (above the entitled 15 Universal hours).

Non-funded sessions are priced at £21 per session (3 hours) and are payable half-termly in advance.

School lunch (hot or cold) is available for an additional £3.00
