Class Structure

Class Structure
Like most small village schools we have mixed age classes, for us this means two year groups in each class.

Class 1 rarely exceeds 14, thus giving the children lots of attention and a flying start to their education. We believe that each child is an individual and therefore the children are grouped within the class according to ability rather than age. This means able children in the younger age group can work with others of equal ability, whether they are the same age or older. It also means that if one of the older children needs to reinforce an earlier concept, that too can be easily addressed. In order to ensure that children do not cover the same topics twice we run a two year rolling programme.

At Cadmore End we work hard to provide the highest quality education for all our pupils to reach their potential. Pupils are offered the opportunity to fully develop their talents and abilities through a variety of opportunities. We have high expectations that all of our children make good progress.
