On Wednesday – Today you will re-listen to the traditional tale, ‘The House that Jack Built’. Today you will be identifying the conjunctions but and and, and writing sentences using each conjunction. Try to remember, capital letters, full stops and finger spaces!
On Thursday- Today you will be comparing two versions of a traditional tale. Then you'll be writing sentences containing the conjunction because to respond to the story. Try to concentrate on your neat handwriting today.
Friday – Today you will hear or read yourself a humorous poem. Then you'll explore some rhymes and create a poem from the lines provided.
For maths this week you are going to continue with multiplication. For each lesson there is a practice sheet. Start with the mild one but if you're feeling confident try the hot one!
On Wednesday- Today you are multiplying by using clever counting and repeated addition and dividing by finding how many sets.
On Thursday- Today you will be multiplying using a penny number line to help.
On Friday- Today you are solving division problems by finding sets.
On Wednesday– Today you will re-watch The Paper Bag Princess. Look through the PowerPoint presentation on Noun Phrases. Then you will create humorous phrases from sets of determiners, adverbs, adjectives and nouns.
On Thursday- Today you will listen to part of a traditional tale. Then you will read and write character profiles and write an imagined diary entry.
On Friday– Today you will listen to the remainder of a traditional tale. Then write dialogue as speech bubbles and then as punctuated sentences.
Year 2s Maths
This week you will continue with multiplication and division.
On Wednesday- Today you will be using multiplication sentences to describe an array and make links to division.
On Thursday- Today you will look at understanding grouping as one model of division.
On Friday- Today you will learn how to read an array and use a beaded line and grouping to help write division number sentences.
