Spring 2022 for Class 4
This term we are exploring the topic 'Groovy Greeks'. In English, we've been looking at Greek Myths... specifically the myth of Perseus and the Gorgon. We wrote our own play scripts based on this myth! We are also going to be writing a non-chronological report on our own ancient Greek God or Goddess.
In history, we've been finding out about key events in ancient Greek history. We have also been researching a specific area of daily life in ancient Greece as part of a group. As part of this project, we've planned a mini-lesson for groups of children in Class 3. We will be teaching them all about life in ancient Greece and sharing our knowledge!
In Art and D.T. we've been finding out more about ancient Greek pottery! We've looked at examples of Greek pottery. Then we sketched our own design and made them using air drying clay. We will also be making Greek dragon eyes using clay too!
What's in store for the spring term?
In the spring term we will be starting our topic 'Groovy Greeks'. This will have a focus on Ancient Greece in history. In English, we will be exploring Greek myths and writing our own plays based on the myths we read. We will also be moving onto learning about fractions in maths...
