Environment

The school is extremely fortunate in its setting in the Chilterns countryside.

Grounds

We have an interesting play area including activity equipment which forms an adventure trail. Part of the grounds have been used to construct a small car park for use by parents, which means that children can be kept completely away from the nearby road. The Early Years Play Area enhances the teaching in the Foundation Stage. A netball court doubles as a playground. There is also space for less boisterous games and a quiet area with a pond for environmental studies. Picnic tables make the perfect spot for lunch when weather permits.

Buildings

The school was founded in 1853, originally comprising just one classroom which was licensed for teaching 50 children. The school now has accommodation and facilities suitable for education in the 21st Century including a school hall which facilitates many activities, and library wing and intervention rooms.
